Industrial Electrical Technician / Electrician - Day Shift

CBC is recruiting an Industrial Electrical Technician / Electrician for an established manufacturer in the Richmond, Virginia area. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, production machinery, and facility electrical infrastructure. The position is well suited to someone with strong industrial electrical fundamentals who can also work effectively in a multi-craft production-support environment. Key Responsibilities: • Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical equipment and systems. • Diagnose electrical faults involving motors, starters, contactors, relays, transformers, circuit protection, disconnects, power supplies, heating circuits, and related components. • Troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, motor circuits, and power-distribution equipment. • Safely use electrical test equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation-resistance testers. • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, equipment manuals, and work orders. • Troubleshoot electrical issues associated with PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and machine-safety circuits. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and document repairs, wiring changes, test results, and component replacements. Schedule: • Day-shift start time is typically between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. • At least 40 hours per week. • Approximately one Saturday per month is expected, with additional Saturdays possible based on business needs. • On-call support may be required for employees scheduled in the facility. Compensation: • $32-$36/hour, based on experience. • Annual bonus opportunity at company discretion. • Overtime eligible. • Benefits include vacation/PTO, medical coverage, 401(k), and other standard employer benefits.
