Maintenance Technician / Millwright - Night Shift

CBC is recruiting a multi-craft Maintenance Technician / Millwright for an established manufacturer in the Richmond, Virginia area. This hands-on role supports production and facility equipment through troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and root-cause problem solving. The strongest candidates will bring solid mechanical capability and enough electrical and controls familiarity to work effectively in a multi-craft environment. Key Responsibilities: • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment. • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues and complete repairs safely and effectively. • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled repair work during planned equipment outages. • Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment failures and restore equipment to safe, reliable operation. • Read manuals, schematics, diagrams, and work orders to diagnose equipment problems and perform service. • Use hand and power tools, meters, and material-handling equipment to complete maintenance work. • Perform root-cause failure analysis to correct recurring problems rather than only treating symptoms. • Support contractor coordination, facility maintenance, and other production-support needs as required. Schedule: • Night shift is typically 2:30 PM-11:00 PM. • At least 40 hours per week. • Approximately one Saturday per month is expected, with additional Saturdays possible based on business needs. • This role remains on call to support employees scheduled in the facility. Compensation: • $30-$38/hour, based on experience. • Guaranteed $1.25/hour night-shift differential while assigned to night shift, increasing to $2.00/hour after two years. • Annual bonus opportunity at company discretion. • Overtime eligible. • Benefits include vacation/PTO, medical coverage, 401(k), and other standard employer benefits.
